We assemble to proclaim "His" Majesty, Sovereignty, Worthiness, Goodness and Truthfulness.
We gather together to publicly present ourselves as a "Corporate Body" before the Lord.
With freedom comes responsibility, and the National Day of Prayer is an opportunity for all citizens to exercise that responsibility to pray for our nation, its cities, communities, families, churches, and for all in authority. And, because America is the leader in global power, it is also our privilege and responsibility to pray that our international leaders will be led by the Spirit of God in world affairs. Therefore, it is a privilege to gather every year on the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol for a focused time of prayer and worship as we plead for God's mercy and divine intervention.

A Heart Cry for the People of America and the Nations |
The World's destiny is in the hands of prayer, therefore, through prayer we prepare a highway for Him to enter and dwell among us (Isaiah 35:8) |
