Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Washington DC

Our annual Jericho Prayer Movement Crescendo was powerful and Spirit led. The assembly worship was anointed and God’s presence could be felt by all that were in attendance. The theme centered on bringing glory to God through every nation, culture, and people group on earth.

Our annual crescendo is a time when the regular altar participants can come together to share with the larger Christian and non-Christian community the prayer focuses of each altar sight. It is a time when we all come together to pray, worship, and proclaim God’s goodness with a spirit of unity and love.

Each altar gave powerful declarations which proclaimed God’s power to change our nation and our desire to see Jesus high and lifted up.

At the crescendo anointed prayers were released on behalf of our national leaders and government officials. It’s a time for the larger community to become aware that each 1st Saturday of the month prayers are being released simultaneously 6am – 7am for our communities, city, nation and world.

Our desire is for a move of God in the Greater Washington Area that will change the moral and spiritual decline and bring revival to our nation. The highlight was our small group prayer time which allowed every participant to make their personal plea to God on behalf of our nation.

This time was sealed with each group sharing communion together.

We believe that God is at work through the Jericho Prayer Movement as we are obedient to meet every first Saturday throughout the Greater Washington area. We have been called to faithfully pray for our nation and as we continue in this calling we will be blessed and God will be glorified.

With that declaration in our hearts, the ministry of the shofar stepped forward with jubilance. This was a call, an expression of unity, for the congregation to join hands and sing "Bind Us Together, Lord, with cords that cannot be broken.

Amen!
